Co-Teacher

POSITION SUMMARY: Assist Teacher/Center Specialist in providing effective and nurturing adult-child interactions, plan and implement learning experiences that ensure effective curriculum implementation, use of assessment, and promote children’s progress across the standards described in the Head Start Early Learning Outcomes Framework: Ages three to Five and applicable state early learning and development standards, including for children with disabilities and dual language learners.

ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  1. Prepare or assist with meal preparation according to schedules
  2. Promote attendance at parent meetings
  3. Attend and assist in PreK Round-Up as assigned
  4. Obtain and document In-kind
  5. Develop and implement curriculum and lesson plans in accordance with guidelines/training
  6. Recruit ECP volunteers
  7. Promote school readiness for children, families, and community members
  8. Participate in all required meetings and trainings
  9. Adhere to all CNCAP policies and procedures

QUALIFICATIONS

  1. High school diploma or GED required (Prefer AA or BA in Early Childhood or related field)
  2. Valid driver's license
  3. Previous experience working with children ages 3-5 years old

SKILLS & ABILITIES

  3. knowledge in word, excel, powerpoint, and databases
  4. Excellent time-management and organizational skills
  5. Demonstrated ability to work with others

SCHEDULE: Monday-Thursday: 7am - 5pm or Monday-Friday: 8am - 4pm

REPORTS TO: Teacher Center/Specialist

JOB STATUS: Full-Time, 40 hours per week

PAY: $15.88 - $17.54/hour (depending on qualifications)
