POSITION SUMMARY: Promote children and families progress across the standards and as described in the Parent, Family, and Community Engagement Framework to build respectful, culturally responsive, and trusting relationships with families. Provide assistance and support to the families to ensure all state and federal standards are met. Attain knowledge of resources available in the community, and build and strengthen partnerships within community entities.

 

ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  1. Coordinate parent meetings, promote attendance, and assist parents to take the leadership role
  2. Assess family strengths and needs and support them in the process
  3. Work with families to identify and set goals. Monitor progress and follow-up on all referrals throughout the length of the program
  4. Complete minimum monthly contact via home visit and phone contacts in accordance to program options
  5. Ensure recruitment efforts are completed, documented, and the waiting list is maintained throughout the year
  6. Provide support to parents in completing in-home in-kind
  7. Promote school readiness for children, families, and community members
  8. Participate in all required meetings and trainings
  9. Adhere to all CNCAP policies and procedures

 

QUALIFICATIONS

  1. High school diploma or GED required (CDA, AA, or BA in Early Childhood or related field preferred)
  2. Valid driver's license
  3. 1+ years of experience in Early Childhood or related field
  4. Experience working with children 6 weeks-3 years old and/or their families

 

SKILLS & ABILITIES

  1. Problem-solving skills
  2. Communication skills
  3. knowledge in word, excel, powerpoint, and databases
  4. Excellent time-management and organizational skills
  5. Demonstrated ability to work with others
  6. Knowledge of resources within the community

 

SCHEDULE: Monday-Thursday: 7am - 5pm or Monday-Friday: 8am - 4pm

REPORTS TO: Infant Toddler Teacher/Center Specialist

JOB STATUS: Full-Time, 40 hours per week

PAY: $11.22-$12.24/Hour (depending on qualifications)
