POSITION SUMMARY: Plan and implement home-based learning experiences that ensure effective implementation of the home visiting curriculum and promote children’s progress across the standards described in the Head Start Early Learning Outcomes Framework: Ages Birth to Five, including for children with disabilities and dual language learners, as appropriate, and Head Start Parent, Family, and Community Engagement Framework to build respectful, culturally responsive, and trusting relationships with families. Provide assistance and support to the families to ensure all state and federal standards are met.  Attain knowledge of resources available in the community, and build and strengthen partnerships within community entities.

 

ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  1. Coordinate parent meetings/socializations and assist parents in taking leadership roles.
  2. Assess the family’s strengths and needs and support them in the process.
  3. Complete 1-½ hour weekly home visits (in the home unless safety issue), track and meet a required number of visits in accordance with the program option.
  4. Obtain and document In-kind
  5. Document home visits, prepare and distribute follow-up containing pertinent information requested by the family in a timely manner.
  6. Recruit ECP volunteers
  7. Promote school readiness for children, families, and community members
  8. Participate in all required meetings and trainings
  9. Adhere to all CNCAP policies and procedures

 

QUALIFICATIONS

  1. High school diploma or GED required (Prefer AA or BA in Early Childhood or related field) 
  2. Valid driver's license
  3. Previous experience working with infants 0-3

  1. Problem-solving skills
  2. Communication skills
  3. knowledge in word, excel, powerpoint, and databases
  4. Excellent time-management and organizational skills
  5. Demonstrated ability to work with others

 

SCHEDULE: Monday-Thursday: 7am - 5pm or Monday-Friday: 8am - 4pm

REPORTS TO: Area Manager/Education Coordinator/Coach

JOB STATUS: Full-Time, 40 hours per week

PAY: $12.50-$17.50/Hour (Depending on qualifications)
