HEAD START CO-TEACHER

Central Nebraska Community Action Partnership is looking for a motivated individual to fill a rewarding position work with our preschool children as a Co-Teacher. Individuals would be responsible for the care and education of young children, ages 3 years to 5 years of age. The Co-Teacher is responsible for creating a warm and nurturing relationship with each child, and promoting a quality Preschool program for children and families to ensure performance standards are met. The Co-Teacher would also be responsible for co-planning activities and ongoing assessments of the children and ensuring our organizations Core Values are always kept at the forefront. Candidates must be able to demonstrate effective communication and a non-judgmental attitude when working with staff, families and children.

Central Nebraska Community Action Partnership, offers a full benefit package including, Health, Dental, Life and Vision Insurance, an excellent PTO plan, EAP, Cafeteria Section 125, and a retirement plan. This position is Monday-Thursday with a flexible schedule. Position runs from August 1 through April every year. Pay is $14.88 - $16.54 per hour depending on qualifications.

Qualified individuals must have: a high school diploma or equivalent; a valid Nebraska Driver's License, reliable transportation and a working phone. Candidates must be able to provide CPR and First Aid Certificate or obtain CPR and First Aid certificate within 90 days of hire and maintain current certification throughout employment. Prior experience working with children of preschool age is preferred.
